Diligent attention to the physical property, customer satisfaction, human resources management, labour and food costs are all essential elements to survival, let alone success. Add to that mix, the seasonal element of our environment and to many, the challenges may seem insurmountable. Not so for this award winner. With a track record of turning around struggling restaurants, he knew he had the right stuff to make this new business enterprise grow and thrive. To achieve a new look in independent restaurants, the entire facility was redesigned - all without professional help. Layout of the prep area, bar and dining area together with menu development were all conceived to provide wholesome food in a casual family dining atmosphere. The rave reviews of local patrons and visitors alike, attest to the success of this enormous undertaking. Born and raised in Port Elgin, he balances his demanding professional career with an actively engaged family life which includes involvement in minor hockey with his two sons. |
