| Two hundred acres of rolling land through and around an old gravel pit, in the middle of Huron-Kinloss has become the home of a world-class 18-hole golf course that has quickly become known as one of the best public golf courses in Ontario. Blackhorse Golf and Country Resort is the result of a vision and a goal that owners Doug Wilson Sr and Doug Wilson Jr believed in. Their desire to create a legacy that combined their expertise and love of the game of golf, developed into a project that others soon came to believe in as well. The success of Blackhorse comes from its people and their dedication to the project, to not cutting corners on quality, and to working to exhaustion to make Blackhorse the best golf course in Bruce County. The vision for Blackhorse is not yet complete, and the team there continues to work towards a permanent club house, and eventually upscale condos or a boutique spa and accommodations. It is this determination and dedication to completion of their vision that has earned Blackhorse Golf and Country Resort the 2008 P.E.A.K. Award. |
