| Doug Kennedy is a big guy with a big heart. Well known throughout the area, Doug became the franchisee for the Kincardine location of Crabby Joe's Tap & Grill, the first chain restaurant of this type in Kincardine. Their mission is to provide unsurpassed quality of food, friendly & knowledgeable staff, and a warm & inviting atmosphere with extensive attention to detail. A visit to the restaurant and it is easy to see why Crabby Joe's has quickly become the lead dining, drinking and "meeting" place in Kincardine. Part of Doug's success has come from the large amount of community service that he does, both personally and through the restaurant. Crabby Joe's of Kincardine are the proud sponsors of sports teams of all types in Kincardine and the surrounding communities. Doug and his team host an annual golf tournament, which this year raised $5600 for different charities including Big Brothers, the arena addition and local dog park. They also host an annual hospital fundraiser, donate to local non-profit organizations and school teams and have partnered with local schools to create a program encouraging kids to read. His believes that the investment in the community pays off and helps get customers through the door. He is a major supporter of silver stick because those visitors to our community are a benefit to the local economy. Doug is quick to point out that he could not be as involved in the community without the constant support and hard work of his family. Cathy and their son's Jeff Alcombrack and Jeff Kennedy all actively involved in the business and the community. |
