ABOUT
BRUCE CFDC
Founded in 1985, the Community Futures Program (CFP) has been a driving force in business development across Canada’s rural and remote communities. The CFP’s mission is to create jobs and foster innovative approaches to community economic growth by leveraging local strengths and infrastructure.
MISSION & HISTORY.
Each Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) offers a range of services including free business counselling, flexible loans for both new and existing small and medium-sized businesses, and strategic planning for local projects. Managed by volunteer Boards of Directors made up of local businesspeople, CFDCs are deeply rooted in the communities they serve.
While our offices may look like other lenders or business development agencies, we’re different. Our members understand rural Ontario like no one else – they live and work here, and they know that small businesses are the heartbeat of thriving rural communities. We’re here because we care about your success.

We are funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev) and the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario (FedNor). Community Futures Ontario supports its members in the delivery of quality services in their communities and provides the voice for the Community Futures Program in Ontario.
